Sunflower Oil Glycerin Soap

Ingredients
  • Non-hydrogenated soybean oil, 8 oz.
  • Water, 6 oz.
  • Coconut oil, 4 oz.
  • Sunflower oil, 4 oz.
  • Potassium hydroxide, 3 oz.
  • Glycerin, ½ cup
  • Essential oil (your choice of fragrance)
Directions
To make the base, mix water and potassium hydroxide in a bowl. In a pan, heat coconut oil, soybean and sunflower oil till it reaches 150ºF; make sure you're stirring the liquid continuously. Once the oils are at the desired temperature, you will add the water-hydroxide mix in. Keep stirring the ingredients so they don't separate from one another.
Turn off the heat and remove the pan. Let the mixture cool down a bit. In the end, add glycerin and essential oil of your choice (amount depending on how strong you want the fragrance to be). Keep stirring and check the consistency of the soap. If it's too thick, then add some more water. Once the soap is ready, pour it in a clean bottle with pump.
