Birdhouse
Materials Empty and clean milk carton, paint(Black, gray, or brown), small wooden planks, tacky glue, scissors, ruler, pencil and string.
Directions Measure 3'' from the bottom of the milk carton and cut it into two pieces, saving both the top and the bottom. Then cut a 2'' circle in the middle front of the top piece and cut the bottom piece about 1'' high.
Then make a roof with the other parts of the cut carton and stick them together in an adjacent manner with glue. Gather the wooden planks and cut them or break them in similar lengths.
With the glue, stick them carefully over this carton birdhouse and leave the circle in the middle front open. Place one stick perpendicular to the circle for the birds to sit and examine the house. Cover the entire house along with the roof with these twigs and then paint it with dark colors. Keep the birdhouse on a tree or any place in the garden.
Popsicle Stick Decorative Centerpieces
Materials Ice cream sticks, Craft glue, Markers or crayons.
Directions To make this centerpiece, you need to arrange two sticks in the form of an inverted V and apply glue on one the inside of both the sticks. Then arrange more sticks horizontally over the glued side of the two sticks. The horizontal sticks should be closely-pasted on the inverted V and parallel in arrangement.
Once they are dry, take half of one stick and stick it with a cello-tape on the back of these horizontal sticks to create a stand for the centerpiece. Turn it over and color the whole craft with beautiful colors and make it look very attractive.
If you want, you can write a message in the center stick of the horizontal ones to keep it on the table, like a "thank you" or a "welcome".
Butterfly Wind Chime
Materials Paper butterflies, Twigs and a circular wood piece, Black thread, Wire, Needles.
Directions Take a thin metal wire and make a small loop on one of its ends. Fold the other end onto the center of a twig in such a way that it does not loosen. With the help of needles, stitch the black thread into the paper butterflies and tie a knot so that they don't fall off. Tie the other end of one such butterfly to one end of the first twig.
On the other end, tie a plain thread which has another twig tied to its other end. Tie another butterfly to one end of the second twig and another thread with a third twig at the other end of the second twig.
Then to this twig, tie two butterflies on both the ends to give it a colorful look. Stick this entire wind chime to a circular piece of wood with a hole in the center to put the wire loop through. Hang this wind chime around the house or in the backyard.
